1. Daily Care
- Dust gently with a soft, dry, light-colored cloth after each wear.
- Avoid overfilling bags or over-stretching shoes — leather retains shape.
- Allow 24 hours between wears for leather to rest and breathe.
- Avoid contact with hands that have lotion, sanitizer, or oil.
2. Protection
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, and high heat.
- Keep away from direct contact with perfume, makeup, hairspray, and dark denim (color transfer).
- Protect from rain. If exposed to water, dab gently with a dry cloth — do not rub or use heat to dry.
- Patent and metallic finishes are delicate — avoid friction and sharp objects.
3. Storage
- Store stuffed lightly with acid-free tissue to maintain shape.
- Always store in your HOF dust bag.
- Store upright in a cool, dry place away from humidity and heat.
- Keep hardware (chains, lions, clasps) wrapped in tissue to prevent scratching.
- Never store in plastic — leather needs to breathe.
4. Material Notes
Leather is a natural material. Subtle variations in grain, texture, and tone are part of its character and beauty — not defects. Veins, pores, and slight color differences are hallmarks of genuine leather.
